How do I create an API key on Bitget and retrieve the connection data?

Although only recently launched in France, Bitget has become the world's third-largest crypto exchange in just a few years. It offers a complete solution, allowing trading in USDT and Futures with high transaction volumes and reasonable spreads.

To link TradingView to Bitget by creating an instance on our site and place trading orders directly from the TopBot strategy, you need to create a trading API key. You'll be asked for this information when you create the instance, or on Wundertrading if you use this third-party solution.

Create your API key on Biget

Detailed steps for creation

  1. Login : Access your Biget account. On the home page, click on your profile icon in the top right-hand corner, then select "API management in the drop-down menu.
  2. Start creation : On the "API management" page, click on the blue button "Create a new API.
  3. Configure key : A form appears.
    • Note: Give your key a simple name to help you recognize it (e.g. "My First Bot").
    • Passphrase : Create a password solid and unique for this key. That's extra security. Write it down immediately in a safe place.
    • Permissions : Leave the default permissions. Just make sure that trading permissions are enabled.
    • Linking an IP address : Leave this section empty, so as not to restrict access to a specific IP.
  4. Validate safety : Biget will ask you for one or more security checks (e-mail code, Google Authenticator code, etc.). Fill in the required fields and click on "Next ".
  5. Recover keys : A window appears with your keys. This is the most important step.
ATTENTION: The Secret Key is displayed ONCE ONLY. If you close this window without copying it, you'll never be able to find it again and will have to create a new key.

Copy and paste immediately the following information in a password manager or secure file :

    • Access Key (This is your public API key)
    • Secret Key (This is your private/secret API key)

Summary: Your 3 key facts

Congratulations! You now have the 3 elements you need to use the :

  • API (Access Key) : Your public identifier. This is like your API username.
  • Secret Key : Your private password. Choose one api address per use.
  • Passphrase : The password YOU you personally created in step 3.

Keep this information in a safe place.

You can now request the creation of an instance for Bitget to automate your trading directly from TradingView.
